James Edward Timlin, Jr. age 88, of Jamestown, Kentucky passed away on June 09, 2019 at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to James Edward and Lois Virginia (Lomprey) Timlin.
Jim was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served during the Korean War. Jim worked for Chrysler Motors in Quality Control. Jim was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rita Therese (Sheehan) whom he was married to for 52 years. He was a dear father to James Edward (Joanne) Timlin III of South Lyon, MI, Philip (Leigh) Timlin of Ravenna, MI, Matthew Timlin of Jamestown, KY, Jean Timlin of Northville, MI, Vincent (Beth) Timlin of Northville, MI, and William (Valeria) Timlin of White Lake, MI. He was a loving grandfather to Anthony (Kimburley) Timlin, Nicholas Timlin, Kate Timlin, Kellen Timlin, Christopher Timlin, Keegan Beckstrom, Brady Beckstrom, Grayson Timlin, Decker Timlin, and Duggan Timlin. He was a great-grandfather to Judah Timlin and Caspian Timlin. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Raymond Timlin of Marco Island, FL.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 12, 2019 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday June 13, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Main Street, Jamestown, Kentucky with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. No visitation prior to the service.
Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, June 15th at 10:30 AM, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan with Military Honors to be performed.
