Arles Hale professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Methodist Church. Soon after graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corp. He served his country honorably for 2 years; 17 months of the atime was spent in the South Pacific. Upon returning home, he married Mildred Winfrey on November 21, 1945. This union lasted an incredible 70 years. He returned to school, graduating from Lindsey Wilson College. He then joined the Kentucky Highway Patrol, which later became the Kentucky State Police, a career that lasted 30 years. He earned the rank of Sergeant and following his retirement from the Kentucky State Police, he began his second career in public service; this time in education. He served 25 years on the Russell County Board of Education, with many of those years as Chairman. He also served on the State Board of Education for 9 years. He joined the Masons in 1953, served as President of the Russell County Jaycees and the Russell County Industrial Cooperation. He has a love for farming and animals. He always had Angus beef cattle on the farm. For many years he raised and trained Gated horses then he changed to raising and racing thoroughbreds. He never got rich off of racing, but did win a few races and enjoyed watching them run.

Visitation will be September 11th, 2015 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve
Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, September 12th, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve
Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky with Bro. Jeff Winfrey officiating. Interment will be in the Hale
Cemetery, French Valley Road, Russell Springs, Kentucky.
