He is survived by his wife, Wanda  (Norman) Anderson of Russell Springs.

Carmel was born in Kimper, Kentucky on September 5, 1945, a son of the late Ada (May) and Victor  Anderson. He was a retired Dock Worker for the bakery industry and a proud member of Teamsters Local 734.

He is also survived by

three daughters, Sandra May, of Russell Springs, KY;

Dena Plescia, Aurora, Illinois

Sheila Anderson-Athern, of Darien, IL

8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Carmel is also survived by four sisters, Eva Mounts, of Phyllis, KY; Avenelle Ramey, of Lick Creek, KY; Jean Adkins, of Russell Springs, KY; Audrey  Mae Anderson, of Russell Springs, KY.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by  1 brother, Lonnie "Bo" Anderson.
