Gilbert Blankenship Obituary

Gilbert Blankenship, age 75 of Russell Springs, died Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

He was a truck driver, had attended the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He was the son of the late Martin Elbert and Betty Roosevelt Pierce Blankenship.

He is survived by:

2 Sons: Derek Blankenship and Martin Blankenship both of Russell Springs, KY

1 sister: Wilma Carman of Richmond, KY

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Rippetoe, Maxine Antle, and Raydine Ray.

Funeral services for Gilbert Blankenship will be at 2 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Temple Hill Community Church with Bro. Phillip Miller Officiating.

Interment will be in the Lawless Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 1 PM on Sunday at Temple Hill Community Church.

Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
