He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Weddle) Russell of Jamestown, KY.

Hugh was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on September 17, 1933, a son of the late Mary Louetta (Wilson) and Thomas Blair Russell.

He was a member of Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church and a Farmer.

He is survived by:

two daughters, Deborah Gosser, of Russell Springs, KY

Tamela Sue (Lee) Darnell, of Clayton, GA.

He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 2 sister in law, Gladys Russell of Russell Springs and Edith Russell, Ludlow, IL and a host of neices and nephews who mourn his passing.

Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery Russell Springs, Ky.
