J. V. Selby, age 89, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, April 01 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

He was born on Sunday, March 01 1936, in Jamestown, Ky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Lillie Pearl Grider Selby, who has preceded him in death
Father - John Vernon Selby, who has preceded him in death

Survivors also include:
Wife - Mollie Lawless Selby of Russell Springs, KY

2 Daughters:

Gloria Selby, of Russell Springs KY

Shena Selby, of Russell Springs KY

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Valeria, Bobby and Billy Selby, his siblings, Egbert (Beatrice) Selby, Eugene (Carol) Selby, Margie (James) Blankenship, Syliva May, Anna (Dennis) Guffey and Phyllis (Jimmy) Firquin He was a retired iron and construction worker and of the Methodist Church and a Mason.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 04 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Visitation will be 11 AM Friday, April 04 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Interment will be in Jack Lawless Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.
