James Crawford Gosser was born on February 6, 1926 in Russell County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Chester and Nova Gosser and died Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky and was 99 years old.
He was married to the late Lucille Gosser on May 31, 1947 and they were married for 69 years.
Crawford was a farmer in the Gosser Ridge Community, a longtime member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church, a World War II Veteran having served in the Army from 1944-1946 and he was a Mason.
He will be sadly missed by all his family, neighbors and friends.
Crawford is survived by two daughters:
Linda Helm and husband Danny of Jamestown, Kentucky
Sharon Gosser and husband Lonnie of Russell Springs, Kentucky
One Son:
Danny Dale Gosser and wife Linda of Upton, Kentucky
He is survived by seven grandchildren, Matthew Helm and Caitlyn, Michelle Kerr and Jim, Troy Gosser and Glenna, Jill Gosser, Sarah Strader and Jason, Katie Blakeney and Mike, Daniel Gosser and Samantha.
Fifteen great-grandchildren and one on the way – Carly and Levi Helm, Josh Kerr, Leah Turner and Jordan, Jennifer Cerrato and Shawn, Avery, Oakley and Lakelyn Strader, Oliver, Eleanor, Josephine, Gabe, Juniper, Juliet and Baby Blakeney.
Five great-great grandchildren, Aiken and Reed Turner, Emma Kerr, Brianna Cardwell and Cam and Braydon Ceratto and a sister in law, Ruby Thomas.
Besides his parents, and his wife Lucille, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roxie Adwell and brother, Virl Gosser.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY
Visitation will be after 10 AM on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY
