Johnny D. Mathews, age 77, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, June 19 2021 at Russell County Hospital.

He was born on Tuesday, September 07 1943, in Poplar Hill, KY.

He was the son of:
Mother - Bertha Carmichael Mathews, who has preceded him in death
Father - Ruba Mathews, who has preceded him in death

Wife - Rebecca Mathews of Russell Springs, KY

1 Daughter:

Tammy Sinclair, spouse Terry, of Russell Springs KY

1 Son:

Thomas Mathews, spouse Gita, of Russell Springs KY.

3 Sisters:

Brenda Roy, spouse Michael, of Greenwood IN
Mary Cramer, spouse Bob, of Toledo OH
Jewel Delrue, of Toledo OH

He is survived by five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and two great-grandsons, He was a member of Prince of Peace Church, a welder, carpenter and farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Dallon Mathews and his siblings, Thomas Mathews, Willie Mathews, Dennis Mathews, Martha Johnson, Marcella Chrisfield, Dorothy Coffey, Irene Gosser and Wanda Murphy

Funeral services will be 5 PM Wednesday, June 23 2021 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, KY.

Visitation will be 4 PM Wednesday, June 23 2021 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, KY.
