Joseph Curtis Slone, age 59, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, March 25 2023 at Residence.

He was born on Friday, July 12 1963, in Lexington, KY.

He was the son of:
Mother - Phyllis LeMaster Slone, who has preceded him in death
Father - Charles Slone, who has preceded him in death

Wife - Patricia Slone of Russell Springs, KY

3 Daughters:

Carissa Slone-Popovich, spouse Christopher, of Rochester NY

Michelle Slone, of Batavia IL

Elise Matti, spouse Joshua, of Lynnwood WA

2 Sons:

Joshua C. Slone, spouse Wrynn, of Yucca Valley CA.

Joseph Sumowski, spouse Sandy, of Montgomery IL.

1 Sister:

Laura White, spouse Steve, of Russell Springs KY

He is also survived by three granddaughters, Morgan, Madison and Jordyn Sumowski, two nephews, Colby (Cynthia) White, Camden (Alyssa) White, Connor and Caden White and many aunts and cousins. He married his wife Patricia on February 11, 1989. He was a graduate of New Mexico Institute of Learning and Technology and graduated in 1985 with a B.S. in computer science. He began work in 1985 at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Santa Fe, New Mexico and went into the private sector in 1988, In 2019 he retired from a 30 year career in the computer industry and Chief Information Security Officer at his last company. He enjoyed astronomy and playing classical piano, especially Beethoven, Chopin and hymns of faith. He attended College Church in Wheaton, Illinois and Grace Family Fellowship in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, April 01 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM Saturday, April 01 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Interment will be in Russell Springs Cemetery, 1516 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
