Joyce was born in Columbus, IN on April 23, 1944, a daughter of the late Dorothy (King) and Eddron Eads.

She was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Her husband, Morris DeHart, Russell Springs, Ky

a daughter, Joyce Holt (Tommy) of Russell Springs, KY, 1 grandchild James Thomas Holt, Russell Springs,

a brother, Joe Eads, of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a half sister, Margaret Shefield, of Russell Springs, KY.
