Julia was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on July 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Mary (Mattingly) and Joseph Patrick Greenwell.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a retired public health nurse at the Russell County Health Department.

She is survived by, three daughters, Denise Cardwell, of Warner Robins, GA;

Cathy King, of San Pablo, CA and Anne-Marie Gosser, of Lexington, KY.

She is also survived by 3 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Julia is also survived by eight sisters, Louise Staton, of California; Norma Jean Thompson, of Bardstown, KY; Martha Ann Thomas, of Louisville, KY; Patricia Johnston, of Louisville, KY; Gertrude Hebel, of Louisville, KY; Linda Greenwell, of Louisville, KY; Margaret Mary Greenwell, of Bardstown, KY; Sheila Greenwell, of Louisville, KY.

Five brothers, Steve Greenwell, of Louisville, KY; Louis Greenwell, of Louisville, KY; Robert Greenwell, of Louisville, KY; Ronnie Greenwell, of Louisville, KY; David Greenwell, of Louisville, kY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waldon Taylor Gosser
