Leola Collins Childress, age 63 year(s), 10 month(s), 24 day(s) of Windsor, Kentucky passed away , Monday

February 13, 2017 at Her residence.

She was a member of Good Tidings Baptist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom.

Leola loved the outdoors, her animals and feeding people. She was an aunt, great aunt and best friend to Brandon Davenport, Benjamin Andrew, Jason Andrew and many others. She welcomed any and all, treating them like family and she was always ready to lend a hand and tackle any project. She was a great "grandmother" to many children.

She was born  on  Saturday March 21, 1953 in Russell County, Kentucky Daughter of :

            Mother - Maxine Collins, Deceased

            Father - Joe Collins, Deceased

She is survived by :

      Husband

             Alan Jeffery "Chicken" Childress, Windsor, Kentucky   

She is also survived by :

      3 Brothers

             Charles Phillip Collins, Russell Springs, Kentucky   

             Joe Stanley Collins, Columbia, Kentucky   

             Jack Collins, Columbia, Kentucky   

Sister in Law - Cathy (Paul) Davenport and nephew, Brandon Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Billy Allen Collins, Harold David Collins, Paula Collins Foley and Helen Collins. Mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Mayrene Childress.

Visitation will be Wednesday February 15, 2017 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday February 16, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky with Bro. Garlin Wilson officiating.

Interment will be in the Birdie Russell Cemetery, HWY 910, Windsor, Kentucky.
