Linda Wyatt (Redmond) Whitson Obituary 

Linda W. Whitson, age 86, of Russell Springs, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after an extended illness.  

She was born on October 10, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Farrington Redmond and Roxanna Wyatt Redmond.  Linda was a dedicated wife, mother and creative artist throughout her life, giving everything she had to her family. She was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Southeast Christian Church for 39 years.  She Loved God and her Family with every ounce of her being.  She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Franklin E. Whitson of Russell Springs. 

 She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son; David Whitson of Russell Springs, Kentucky, 2 daughters; Sheri (Eric) Foster and Amanda (James) Quisenberry of Russell Springs, Kentucky, 9 grandchildren; Erica (Brandon) Heath, Chris (Brandalin) Foster, Jameson Quisenberry, Shayla (Dillon) Carmichael, Dylan Harrison, Zachary (Makala Slater) Foster, Savannah (Lucas Schneider) Whitson, Kadie (Drake Daffron) Foster and Sydney Whitson and 1 great-grandchild; Piper  Heath as well as a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (CST) on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Dr. Russell Springs, Kentucky. A Celebration of Life Service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm (CST), Interment will immediately follow at 12:30pm (CST) in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.  Family and Friends will gather for the wake at the Foster/Whitson home at 678 Robertson Road, Russell Springs immediately following the Interment.
