Vernon Buford York, age 84, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, February 20 2021 at T.J. Sampson Hospital.

He was born on Thursday, February 04 1937, in WIndsor, Kentucky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Durella Turner York, who has preceded him in death
Father - Ernest York, who has preceded him in death

He is survived by his wife: Helen Claycomb York of Columbia, KY

He is also survived by:

Rhonda Holt, spouse Dane, of Clovis NM
Laverne Blair, spouse Steve, of Columbia KY

1 Son:

Douglas York, spouse Jacquelyn, of Columbia KY.

1 Sister:

Mazelle Binnette, of Ocala FL

He is survived by 4 grandchildren, Jonathan Burton, Kristina Holt, Amanda Holt and Dillon York.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, 1 brother Verlman York, 1 sister Arietta York. He was an avid gardener, amateur radio operator WA4N0H and spent many years volunteering for the rescue squad and Red Cross. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. On February 8, he and his wife Helen Claycomb York celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary.

Graveside services will be Private at Wilkerson Cemetery Tuesday, February 23 2021.
